When virtuous and vacant days overlap with any of the clashing, punishing, piercing days or troubling days, the virtuous and vacant days are able to weaken their negative effects.
Do note that difficult people or situation does not automatically resolved on virtuous days. It is just that the difficult people is likely to be less difficult as usual; or some resources or person with influence come forward to offer help or insight to the difficult people or situation.

Descend of the Lords of the Northern Dipper 北斗九皇降世日
Not only a group of very important and high ranking Deities in the Taoist pantheon but very well received in Chinese communities around the world. Prayers for longevity and averting misfortune are also often made to these Lords during thes 9 days. The Lords of the Northen Dipper is so popular that there is a specific Medicine Buddha patheon made as an adapted version to the Lords of the Northern Dipper.
18 Oct 九月初九 (Sun)
Chong Yang Jie / Double Ninth Festival 重陽節
The name of this festival is taken from I-Ching, where the number 9 ascribes to the Yang and having 2 nines, means double Yang. Traditional, this day marks the celebration of good harvest and rituals made to the Gods as an expression of thanksgiving.
Ascend of Lord Guan 關帝飛昇日
This is one of the less common marked day to commemorate the ascend of Lord Guan, more commonly known as Guan Gong, a historical figure that has being deified and very wel accepted in the Chinese communities. He stands for Loyalty, Righteousness, Benevolence and Courageous.
Commemoraton Day for Na Zha / Marshal of the Central Altar 哪吒誕 / 中壇元帥
A very popular and well received Deity in the Chinese communities. Now made known better by the recent movies. Originally a deva found in buddhist scriptures but adapted into pantheon of Chinese Deities. A powerful Deity that can handle on his own.

Pravrajya Day for Guanyin 觀音出家日
This is folklore inspired day that marks Guanyin’s renunciation. Renunciation often gets painted as giving up by general media or even Buddhism. However, renunciation actually meant a deep commeitment, so deep that it has cut the old you away.

Commemoration Day for Lord Hua Guang 華光大帝誕
Lord Hua Guang is an important and well known Deity in both Taoist pantheon and Chinese community. He is a martial Deity and known for banishing evil forces. He is also known as a Fire Deity and also a Pateron to Cantonese opera troupe.

ANNOUNCEMENT 1 — TIMED CONSULTATION FEES
Clients who have engaged me for timed consultations since 2017 would know that my consultation fees have remained at $180 per hour for almost 10 years.
After much consideration, effective 1 October 2026, my timed consultation fees will be adjusted as follows:
$120 for 30 minutes session
$220 for 1 hour session
$50 for each additional 15-minute block after the first hour
Please also note that annual Ba Zi forecasting requires a minimum engagement of 1 hour session.
And there is good news.
If you started engaging me for 1-hour sessions between 2017 and 2021, and have enegaged me for at least one 1-hour session each year for five consecutive years , you will retain my current fee structure:
$100 for 30 minutes session
$180 for 1 hour session
$50 for each additional 15-minute block after the first hour
This is my way of saying thank you to the clients who have been with me, trusted me, and supported my work throughout these years.
I truly appreciate the journey we have shared, and I look forward to continuing it with you.
ANNOUNCEMENT 2 — MONTHLY ALMANAC FORECAST
After much consideration, I have decided that the Monthly Almanac Forecast will cease from February 2027 onwards.
For the past few years, every Monthly Almanac Forecast you received was researched, written and prepared entirely by me. No assistant, no AI.
Although each forecast may only appear as a few paragraphs, there is actually quite a bit of time involved behind the scenes. I have to work through the information carefully, check that the dates and details are correct, and make sure the descriptions are as accurate as possible. And yes, there have been occasions where typos slipped through. I am grateful to the friends and clients who took the time to point them out, allowing me to make the necessary corrections quickly.
At this point in my life, I also have other priorities that I would like to devote more time to. The Monthly Almanac started out as a bonus, as well as a way for me to practise and further hone my date-selection skills. What began as something shared with clients who engaged me for 1-hour sessions eventually expanded to include some of my closer friends as well.
So, after giving it considerable thought, I feel that it is time to bring this particular chapter to a close.
I would also like to sincerely thank everyone who actually observed the dates and took the time to give me feedback, especially those who shared whether certain dates or forecast descriptions matched what they experienced.
Your feedback has been valuable to me, not only in helping me refine the date selection skills, but also in allowing me to continue testing and improving my own date-selection skills.
